Presidential Nominating Committee

A Presidential Nominating Committee has been formed to nominate a candidate to replace Glenn R. Palmberg, who is retiring next year as president of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The 27-member committee conducted its organizational meeting October 19, 2007, selecting Brian Madvig as its chair. To read a previously published story by Covenant News Service containing the names of committee members and other detail, please see Nominating Committee.

This special web page will be updated as new information becomes available. A communications process also has been created to allow individuals to express their thoughts to members of the committee, as well as recommend names of individuals they believe should be considered as candidates for the position.  The committee has published the qualifications they will use for selecting the candidate here.

Deadline for receipt of candidate recommendations is November 30.

It is strongly recommended that potential candidates have an updated (within past year) minister’s profile on file with the Department of Ordered Ministry.
