Evelyn Johnson Leadership Award

Evelyn M.R. Johnson is the first woman conference superintendent of the Evangelical Covenant Church. She has given leadership in many areas including Minister of Education and pastor of spiritual formation for a local congregation, associate dean of external programming at NPTS, to Midwest Conference as Director of Christian Education and associate superintendent and to the denomination as Executive Director of Christian Education and Discipleship. She has an authored of one book and co-authored another and has given leadership to interdenominational ministries. Her life mission is to inspire, encourage and equip persons to discover and use their gifts. We seek to honor her example by recognizing women who give outstanding leadership and faithfulness to their call.

Award Amount: $500.00 plus plaque

Eligibility: Nominated female minister in an Evangelical Covenant Church setting (administrators, teachers, pastors, missionaries, etc) who has demonstrated excellence in ministry based on character, ministerial identity, contribution to the Covenant and faithfulness to call.

Annual Award Application Date: The application for the Evelyn M. R. Johnson Leadership Award is due April 31, 2008. The award is given bi-annually in even numbered years.
