Phoebe Church Planters Grant

In Romans 16, Phoebe, of Cenchrea, is sent by the apostle Paul to deliver his letter to the church in Rome. The saints at the church in Rome are instructed to “assist her in whatever matter she has need of.” Phoebe was a bold servant who trained, equipped and supported those in need and leaders who were in the service of the Lord. We seek to honor her willingness to be a carrier of the good news by honoring women church planters who go to new areas to explain the gospel of Christ.

The Phoebe Church Planters Grant is a $1000.00 grant offered to a female church planter who is currently involved in full time church planting ministry in good standing with the Covenant ministerium.  The award will be paid directly to the church plant on behalf of the church planter recipient.  The recipient will also receive a free membership to the Association of Covenant Clergy Women for one year and one year’s subscription to the Covenant Companion or the Home Altar. 

Annual Scholarship Application Date: April 31, 2008. Grant offered bi-annually in even numbered years.
