2008 ACCW Awards Program

The ACCW has announced their 2008 Awards Program. Three areas of ministry will be highlighted at a reception to be held at the ACCW meeting during the ECC 2008 Annual Meeting.

The Victoria Welter Scholarship is a $300.00 scholarship for books or class credit. The scholarship is awarded to a female seminarian who is a member of a Evangelical Covenant Church and enrolled as a full-time student at NPTS, pursuing a masters degree in ministry (full time is considered 8 credit hours per semester).   

The Phoebe Church Planters Grant is a $1000.00 grant offered to a female church planter who is currently involved in full time church planting ministry in good standing with the Covenant ministerium. 

The Evelyn M. R. Johnson Leadership Award includes $500.00 and a plaque offered to a nominated female minister in an Evangelical Covenant Church setting (administrators, teachers, pastors, missionaries, etc) who have demonstrated excellence in ministry based on character, leadership identity, contribution to the Covenant and faithfulness to call.

All nominations must be postmarked by April 30, 2008.

The ACCW became an awarding association in 2006, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Covenant's decision to ordain women. The ACCW Awards Program is another medium through which the diverse ministries of women can be highlighted and their stories shared. It is our objective to find varying ways to share these stories with wider audiences to give witness to the faithfulness of God to all who are called into kingdom service.
