Frequently Asked Questions and Instructions
If you are unable to resolve your issues after trying the suggestions below, please email to broadcasts@covchurch.org. Sometimes the stream may cut off just reload your browser again. Instructions for Windows users: 1. Make sure you have the latest version of QuickTime Player. To update to the latest version: - Open QuickTime Player.
- Go to the help menu in QuickTime Player.
- Select "Update Existing Software."
- Follow the prompts to check your version and update if necessary.
2. To view the broadcast within QuickTime Player instead of within your browser window (this allows you to resize the image to make it larger): - Select the "File" menu.
- Select "Open URL."
 - Copy and Paste the address line that is listed below the live link on the broadcast page into the address line in the "Open URL" dialogue box. You can do this by highlighting the text link and holding down CTRL + C and then selecting the dialog box and holding down CTRL + V.
 - Hit "Enter."
- Then click the "Play" button if it does not start playing automatically.
- If the video stops press the "Pause/Play button" to reload the video.
- NOTE: Resizing the image multiple times may cause the audio and video to go out of sync.
3. If you are still unable get the test or live broadcasts working, you may try downloading VideoLAN's VLC Media Player: - You can find it here.
- Follow the instructions on the site and in the installer.
- Once installed, open VLC Media Player and follow the steps above.
Instructions for Mac Users: 1. Make sure you have the latest version of QuickTime Player. To update to the latest version: - Go to the help menu in QuickTime Player.
