About the Commission on Worship


The Covenant Commission on Worship advocates for local and denominational ministries of worship in the ECC.

Commission members serve on active teams—initiating, managing and completing projects. The teams and initiatives are organized around four focus areas:

  • Connecting worship leaders
  • Developing and distributing resources
  • Support for those who plan and lead ECC events
  • Training/Education for emerging and existing leaders

The next commission meeting is scheduled for November 2008 in Chicago, Illinois.

Representatives from Christian Formation, Church Growth and Evangelism, Ordered Ministry, North Park Theological Seminary, and North Park University’s School of Music and University Ministries also meet with the commission. The president of the ECC is an ex-officio member of all commissions.
