Theme and Overview 

The Worship Connection is a gathering for Covenant leaders who offer themselves, in any way, to the activity of Christian worship.  Pastors, musicians, ministry leaders, and other artists will assemble for two days of spiritual enrichment, learning and conversation.

“The Worshiping Artist” is the theme of the 2008 event.

Rory Noland will lead three general sessions on the theme, and YWC will sponsor a Sunday evening concert with Nichole Nordeman.

Rory Noland is the director of Heart of the Artist Ministries and is dedicated to serving the church—helping teams of artists become communities of grace. A composer, songwriter, author, and speaker, Rory is a graduate of the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University and served twenty years as music director at Willow Creek Community Church.

Rory Noland is the author of three books, widely read and used by church leaders and their artistic teams. His latest book, The Worshiping Artist, serves as the inspiration for WC 2008. Rory will lead three interactive sessions designed for pastors, ministry leaders and church volunteers.

WC 2008 is for leaders and teams, so consider bringing your key volunteers.

• Interactive Breakouts: Cultural Diversity in Worship; Worship in Smaller Settings; Choirs in Worship; The Worship "Band"; Great Songs for Worship
• Artists’ Forum where participants share original liturgy, songs, media and other creative elements

Worship Connection is designed for a variety of churches and worship settings—large and small, rural and urban, traditional and contemporary.
