Theme and Overview

Worship:Connection.07 is a gathering for Covenant leaders who offer themselves, in any way, to the activity of Christian worship.  Pastors, musicians, ministry leaders, and other artists will assemble for two days of expressed worship, spiritual enrichment and conversation.

“Collaboration” is the theme of the 2007 pre-midwinter Worship Connection.

Denver native, Sally Morgenthaler, will present a two-part talk on the value and practice of collaboration in worship settings—among pastors, leaders and ministry artists.  Known best for her book, Worship Evangelism (Zondervan, 1998), Morgenthaler is a trusted interpreter of postmodern culture and a guide to the crucial shifts the North American church must make if it is to become a transforming presence within pre-Christian communities.  We eagerly await her debut work on leadership, published by InterVarsity Press and due for release late in 2006.

We’ve also invited a rich ensemble of pastors, teachers, and worship artists to guide us in the ongoing conversation that surrounds our ministry-craft.

• Roundtable discussions and mealtime conversations
• Sunday evening service in the traditional spirit of Evensong
• Rocky Mountain excursion (optional on Monday)

Worship Connection is designed for a diversity of churches and leaders. The experiences offered and principles presented will have immediate application in any worship setting—large or small, rural or urban, traditional or modern.
