»Theme Services and the Collaborative Planning Process

Beth Yeager (Pine Lake Covenant Church, Sammamish WA) will present a collaborative model for planning theme-based services. Topics include: the character of collaborative leaders and cultures; choosing sermon topics and series’ in advance; choosing music, media and other elements; shaping the service; transitions; and debriefing worship.

»Collaborative Planning using the Lectionary and other Traditional Resources

Michael Van Horn and Margaret Brady of North Park Theological Seminary will present this workshop. They will teach on creative and collaborative use of the Lectionary and other traditional worship resources. Special emphasis will be given to the value of traditional resources in contemporary settings. Leaders of both traditional and contemporary worship will benefit from this workshop. 

»The Look of Worship

A collaborative design team will share how they work together to design sacred space. Topics include: seasonal design and the church calendar, worship themes, textiles, platform design—and other topics that pertain the visual aspects of worship. Bring your questions and contributions. This is a talk-back session.

We’re scheduling conversations on a variety of topics that interest pastors and leaders in the worship arts. You are welcome to attend any of these conversations. Each conversation will have a leader and an appointed time and place for meeting. Some of our best moments will likely happen in these informal conversation circles.
