Financial Support
The Covenant believes it is important for a congregation
to achieve its own operational self-sufficiency in a timely way. This
is usually within three years. Even so, pre-determined external financial
support can be an important factor in moving ministry ahead.
The Covenant customizes support to supplement the giving
of the new church itself, which is always the main source of finances.
The amount given is a combination from the denomination, the regional conference,
specific supporting congregations, and additional individuals. Church plants that benefit from the
mission of the Covenant are expected to contribute generously back to
the Covenant as well. New churches contribute 10 percent of their ongoing local income towards the
entirety of the Covenant's global mission and ministries, and contribute an additional 5 percent directed
to the mission and ministries of the regional conference.
