Congregational Vitality

Congregational vitality is a journey of life, energy, passion, discovery and hope. It is a result of the living God breathing new life into the heart of a congregation.

Vitality is the wind of the Spirit. “A rushing wind so wild and strong,” as the old hymn goes. Our role is to raise our sails and catch this wind.

Revitalization is nothing less than a spiritual awakening in Christ. It is not about sustaining and maintaining; it’s about thriving, growing and depending on God to lead us deeper in Christ and further in mission.

Our hope is that every Covenant congregation becomes a healthy missional church. By healthy we mean pursuing Christ. By missional we mean pursuing Christ’s priorities in the world.

The July 2007 CGE newsletter in the Covenant Companion featured a story about Congregational Vitality.

The East Coast Conference newsletter contained a story about John's Veritas seminar. You'll find the story on pages 3 and 5: ECC-Covenanter-9-07.pdf ECC-Covenanter-9-07.pdf
