‘Taste of Opera’ Coming to Ravenswood (IL)
CHICAGO, IL (September 12, 2007) – “A Little Taste of Opera” is coming to Ravenswood Evangelical Covenant Church the end of this month, offering a variety of opera and music theater favorite selections, according to Barbara Nordlund.
The recital will begin at 4 p.m. September 30 at the church, located at 4900 N. Damen Avenue in Chicago. Parking is available, and refreshments will be provided, with donations accepted at the door.
The selections will feature the following individuals: Dominique Frigo, mezzo-soprano; Janeen Griffith, soprano; Jessica Hockaday, soprano; Stephen Kocher, bass; Stefanie Kressaty, soprano; Esterban Lartigue, tenor; Bruce Moore, tenor; Maria Pieraccini, soprano; Paul Scavone, baritone; Denise Tamburrino, soprano; piano accompaniment by Dan Surma, and the Botti Opera Showcase with Velia Botti, artistic director.
