Auto Accident Claims Life of Phyllis Lindstrom
TYLER, MN (February 15, 2001) - Phyllis Lindstrom, 72-year-old widow of Covenant pastor P. Richard Lindstrom, died February 13 as the result of an automobile accident in nearby Florence.
A native of Tyler, Lindstrom was headed to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for medical treatment, when the accident occurred. She had lived in Tyler since 1991 and stayed there after her husband died in 1996.
The Lindstroms served faithfully in numerous Covenant churches. A nurse at Swedish Covenant Hospital while her husband was at North Park Theological Seminary, Mrs. Lindstrom found some of her most exciting vocational adventures when she served as a midwife while the Lindstroms were serving their first pastorate in Jonesville, Virginia.
She is survived by her son, Tim (and Candy) Lindstrom in Washington, West Virginia, and by daughters LaDonna Lindstrom of Duluth, Minnesota, and Gretchen (and husband Ted) Ahlem in Broomfield, Colorado. She had three grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at Scandia Evangelical Free Church in Balaton, Minnesota.
