Health Science Event Set at North Park
CHICAGO, IL (February 19, 2001) - North Park University will host a free interactive Health Science event February 25 to promote awareness in the health care field.
The event at Viking Hall, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m., is sponsored by the university's healing arts and sciences programs. It is geared toward high school students and undergraduate transfers considering careers in nursing, pre-medicine, sports medicine or biology. Health care professionals thinking about returning to school to complete work in nursing or healthcare management will also benefit from the event.
Swedish Covenant Hospital, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and Resurrection Hospital will have representatives at the event, as will Nursing Spectrum magazine. Guest lecturers from Nursing Spectrum, The Chicago Sun-Times and other institutions will speak about trends in health care. North Park health science professors and students will discuss various fields of study at the school.
