First Conclave Event Draws 170 Pastors, Lay Leaders
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (January 30, 2002) - The Conclave 2002 leadership event at Brookdale Covenant Church attracted 170 pastors and lay leaders from Covenant churches throughout the Twin Cities and suburbs on January 26, according to Nicole Stenstrom, office administrator of the Northwest
Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Nine seminars were offered ranging from spiritual disciplines to strategies designed to keep visitors coming back to church. David Kersten, executive minister of the Department of the Ordered Ministry, co-led a seminar entitled Mutual Ministries: Teaming of Pastor and Congregation. Northwest Conference Supt. Paul H. Erickson led a seminar on church governance. Millie Lungren of the Covenant Resource Center also was available to provide insights on a variety of educational tools.
