Chamber Ensemble to Perform March 20

CHICAGO, IL (March 7, 2002) - Baritone North Park University (NPU) faculty member David Holloway will combine with an instrumental ensemble to perform Ilya Levinson's fully staged monodrama The Tell-Tale Heart March 20 at Anderson Chapel.

The 7:30 p.m. performance is based on a short story by renowned writer Edgar Allen Poe. The evening is part of the CUBE Contemporary Chamber Ensemble's 14th season under the direction of co-directors Janice Misurell-Mitchell and Patricia Morehead. Morehead, who also plays oboe and English horn, has written a piece entitled "Homage to Thurber: Tribute to Marshall Patner," which will be making its world debut. The CUBE ensemble is known in local circles for its progressive music and varied repertoire.

Tickets for The Tell-Tale Heart are $7 general admission, $5 for students and seniors, and $2 for North Park students with identification. Family discounts are also available. More information may be obtained by calling 773-244-5625.
