Three Colombian Pastors Presented for Ordination
MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA (March 14, 2002) - Three Covenant pastors, Hector Harold Congote, Alvaro Escallon and Jorge Julian Perez, were presented for ordination at the recent Colombia Covenant Church annual meeting.
Escallon is from Cartagena's Cristiana del Pacto. Congote is from Logos church in Envigado and Perez is from Medellin's Santisima Trinidad congregation. About 250 attended the annual meeting, which was held in Medellin. Along with the three ordinands, another 20 candidates
are readying for ordination at next year's annual meeting.
The Colombian Covenant Church has approximately 29 congregations with 3,300 members, according to recent Department of World Mission statistics. Carlos Diaz is the president of the Colombian Covenant Church.
