Hope and Healing Workshop April 13
ELGIN, IL (April 5, 2002) - Country Evangelical Covenant Church will host a
Hope and Healing workshop April 13 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with noted
licensed professional counselor Steve Earll as the guest presenter.
Hidden family pain and trauma are at the root of many of life's major
problems, including individual issues, marriage and parent-child
conflicts, workshop literature suggests. Unresolved issues play out in
many ways, including divorce, addictions and abusive behaviors that are
often passed on to the next generation. This workshop is designed to
examine the effects of deeply seated issues and provide steps for
ministry resolutions and restoration.
Earll, a member of Faith Evangelical Covenant Church in Colorado
Springs, Colorado, has worked in the area of addictions and trauma for
more than 25 years as a therapist, educator, consultant and clinical
director of treatment programs. Earll has appeared on Focus on the
Family's radio program "Renewing the Heart" and recently led a workshop
at the Evangelical Covenant Church annual Midwinter Pastors Conference.
The workshop registration fee is $20. The cost includes snacks and
lunch. Checks can be sent to: Country Covenant Church, 43W510 McDonald
Road, Elgin, IL, 60123. Country Evangelical Covenant Church is located
off Illinois Route 47 in Elgin, about an hour west of Chicago.
For more information about the workshop, call Pastor David Trosper at
