Minnehaha Senior Signs to Play Soccer at Purdue
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (May 8, 2002) - Minnehaha Academy senior soccer player Kelley
Haag from Apple Valley, Minnesota, will be one of nine incoming freshmen
added to the Purdue women's soccer team roster for the 2002 season.
Purdue finished with a 10-6-3 record last year, 4-3-3 in the Big Ten
conference. Purdue head coach Rob Klatte has slated Kelley to play on the
front line. "Kelley has a lot of athletic talent," says Klatte. "She is
dangerous on top of the ball. Keeps a nice pace and will be a very
versatile athlete and asset to this team."
Haag was a member of the 1998 Minnesota state high school championship team
at Minnehaha and has been an all-conference, all-metro and all-state
selection. She is also a member of the under-18 St. Paul Blackhawks Olympic
Development Program (ODP) team and has played on the
Minnesota state ODP team. She is the daughter of Glenn and Dianne Haag.
Minnehaha Academy is a school sponsored by the Northwest Conference of the
