Covenant Retirement Communities Seeking Applicants
CHICAGO, IL (May 15, 2002) - Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC) of the
Evangelical Covenant Church is seeking applicants for three positions.
Reimbursement Accountant
This position is responsible for various aspects of third-party billing and
reimbursement reporting including maintaining a current knowledge base of
Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations and serving as a central office
billing resource to the CRC campuses. This position reviews and monitors
accounts receivable and is responsible for recording and tracking entrance
fees and actuarial forecasting.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of
four years of progressive accounting work-related experience. A CPA or
graduate work in accounting is desirable, though not required.
This position requires multi-tasking and organizational skills and the
ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written English) with
various Central Office, campus and consulting personnel with varied levels
of understanding of finance and accounting principles and functions.
Spreadsheet and word processing skills as well as excellent inter-personal
relationship skills are essential.

Marketing Director
Covenant Village of the Great Lakes in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a
campus marketing director with accountability for providing comprehensive
overall direction of marketing processes at all levels on the campus. This
position is responsible for maintaining high occupancy, a viable waiting
list, assuring a well-rounded and smooth-functioning marketing program as
well as achieving established goals for future master plan development.
The successful candidate will have two years of advanced education - a
college degree is preferred - and five years of experience in marketing,
sales, or a long-term care environment.
Knowledge of marketing concepts with senior adults and an understanding of
retirement community lifestyle is necessary.
This individual should be self-motivated, creative, possess a high degree
of interpersonal skills and have the ability to relate to the public in a
pleasant and professional manner. Familiarity and compatibility with the
mission of Covenant Retirement Communities and the Evangelical Covenant
Church is essential. The successful candidate should have supervisory
experience including hiring, dismissal, motivation and training of staff,
and budget management.

Development and Community Relations Coordinator
Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, Illinois, is seeking a Development and
Community Relations coordinator who is a full-time salaried employee
responsible for fund-raising activities, donor relations and public
relations. This position reports to the administrative assistant and is
indirectly accountable to the campus administrator and the national
director of development.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience or training in donor development is helpful. The candidate
should have experience with fund raising software or have the ability to
learn its use.
The Development and Community Relations coordinator is responsible for, but
not limited to, overseeing the annual fund drive and memorial gifts
program. The individual is also responsible for promoting the capital
campaign, as well as recognizing and cultivating donors. It is the
responsibility of the Development and Community Relations coordinator to
maintain accurate records. The individual is also the facilitator of the
Advancement Committee and is responsible for publishing the Annual Giving
Report.
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, organizational
and leadership skills and must have the ability to work with limited
direction, take initiative and have the ability to plan and carry out
responsibilities with limited supervision.
