North Park Golf for Kids Event Set for June 3
CHICAGO, IL (May 31, 2002) - North Park University (NPU) will host its Golf for
Kids event June 3 at the Midlane Country Club in Wadsworth, beginning with
registration at 11:30 a.m.
The event, which has been held for the past eight years, will include
lunch, golfing and a silent auction and buffet dinner. Hub Arkush, one of
the broadcasters for the Chicago Bears' radio affiliate WBBM-AM 670 and
publisher of Pro Football Weekly will be the guest speaker. Chicago
Bears head football coach Dick Jauron will also be a special guest. Silent
auction items will include Bears tickets and autographed jerseys
signed by Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary.
Proceeds will help support After Hours, a youth program sponsored by the
school's Outreach Ministries program and staffed by student volunteers in
Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood.
