Annual Meeting Stories, Photos Available on Covenant Site
CHICAGO, IL (July 2, 2002) - All stories and photographs relating to the
just-completed 117th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church in
Keystone, Colorado, have been permanently posted to the special Annual
Meeting segment of the Covenant web site.
Department of Communication news staffers were on site throughout the
three-day event covering business sessions, evening worship services,
receptions and other special events. Stories and photos were posted to the
Covenant web news site throughout each day, with assistance from other
staffers working out of the Chicago offices.
The Wednesday and Thursday evening worship services were broadcast live via
the Covenant Internet site - a record number of people tuned in this year
to watch and listen to the worship services. A video copy of Thursday
evening's ordination service can be viewed online by visiting the Annual
Meeting section of the Covenant home page at www.covchurch.org. A copy of
the Wednesday evening service will be posted soon.
"The news team did an excellent job covering this year's event," said Don
Meyer, the department's executive minister, who noted that this year's
event was the fourth consecutive Annual Meeting to enjoy daily news
coverage via the Internet. He also pointed out that the August issue of
The Covenant Companion will carry much of the news coverage in a
more abbreviated and concise format, including photographs.
