Mercer Island Making Plans for 50th Anniversary Celebration
MERCER ISLAND, WA (July 6, 2002) - Mercer Island Covenant Church (MICC) will
celebrate its 50th anniversary September 7-8 with one of its previous
pastors, Robert Larson, scheduled to preach at the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Sunday worship
Services.
Following the second worship service, the men's ministry will host a noon
barbecue at nearby Mercerdale Park including organized activities for
children.
At 4 p.m. Saturday, September 7, a banquet will be held at the Family
Center of Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue. Tickets are $15 (teens and
children are free) and can be
purchased by calling MICC secretary Paul Oakdale at 206-232-1015.
A reunion choir is being formed and those interested can email MICC's music
minister Jim Jansen at Jjansen@hotmail.com. More information concerning the
