Emanuel Medical Center Head to Retire in December

TURLOCK, CA (July 25, 2002) - Robert Moen, chief executive officer of Emanuel Medical Center, will retire effective December 31, Covenant News Service has learned.

He has worked 33 years at the hospital, which is part of Covenant Ministries of Benevolence of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He has served as chief executive officer the last 16 of those years.

A native of Turlock, Moen is the great-grandson of founding board member Claus Johnson. He joined Emanuel in 1969 to supervise construction of Brandel Manor and was promoted the next year as the Brandel administrator, later becoming assistant administrator of the hospital and the chief officer in 1986.
