African-American Pastors' Retreat in October
CHICAGO, IL (August 30, 2002) - The African-American Ministers Association (AAMA)
will hold its annual retreat October 23-26 at the Park Plaza Hotel in
Oakland, California, according to AAMA President Henry Greenidge.
The theme for the annual retreat is "Bridging Troubled Waters," with
workshops focusing on how to balance ministry with family, friends,
colleagues and one's own spiritual needs. Registration is $125 per person
(if registered by September 13) and should be mailed to treasurer Rev.
Hazel Sloan, AAMA, 2414 Vincent Avenue N, Minneapolis, MN, 55411. Those
registering after September 13 will pay $155.
Attendees are responsible for reserving hotel rooms by calling the hotel
directly at 510-635-5300. Spouses are encouraged to attend.
