Hispanic Church Relations Position Available
CHICAGO, IL (September 19, 2002) - Applications are being accepted for a
part-time position as assistant for Hispanic church relations in the
Department of World Mission of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Responsibilities for this position, which reports to the coordinator for
Hispanic church relations, include translation of letters, legal documents,
book summaries and other information, development of presentations,
communication with CIPE (Confederation of Hispanic Covenant Churches)
leaders in Spanish, processing of visas and other legal documents, booking
travel arrangements for the Coordinator of Hispanic Church Relations,
web-based research information on the internet and certain office
organizational functions.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a four-year
college or university or an equivalent combination of one to two years of
related experience and/or training/education. This individual must be able
to work independently and quickly learn new computer programs and must be
fluently bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
