Memorial Service Held for Eric White

CHICAGO, IL (October 5, 2002) - A memorial service was conducted Friday for 24-year-old Eric White, son of Charles and Janis White of Living Hope Covenant Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, who was electrocuted Sunday near his apartment in Chicago.

The morning memorial service was held at Faith Evangelical Covenant Church in Colorado Springs. Pastor Greg Ralston officiated.

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, White had lived in Chicago since 1999, serving much of that time as manager of a Starbuck's coffee shop.

Besides his parents, White is survived by a brother, Chad, and a grandmother, Grace Scott, of Colorado Springs.

Memorial gifts are being earmarked for the Living Hope Covenant Church Building Fund for music equipment.
