Canton (MI) Church Prepares for Weekly Worship Services
CANTON, MI (November 13, 2002) - Life Covenant Church had its third preview
service last Sunday at Field Elementary School with 138 in attendance as
the congregation readies for weekly worship services beginning January
5.
Life Church, whose pastor is Alex Rahill, is located in the western
suburbs
of Detroit. It has already begun small group Bible studies and hopes to
launch its grand opening service in March. Its next preview service is
December 8.
Alex and Marcie Rahill had previously worked with a youth ministry at
nearby Messiah Church in Detroit, a Covenant congregation that recently
joined the denomination. The Life Church contingent is trying to help
Messiah Church's fledgling medical clinic while organizing other
ministries
in the region. The church is hoping to reach the Gen X age
group - its worship has been strengthened by the presence of two
professional bands that perform original music, said Rahill.
