Chaplain Position Available in Florida
PLANTATION, FL (November 26, 2002) - Candidates are being sought for a position
as associate chaplain of Covenant Village of Florida, which will be
available in late spring next year.
The associate chaplain serves the pastoral needs of the campus, assisting
with the spiritual dimension of care throughout the retirement community.
This may be accomplished by preaching, teaching and counseling residents
and staff, making private visits and ministering to their spiritual needs.
The emotional well being of residents, their acceptance of infirmities,
illness and aging and their adjustment to the facility and to differing
levels of care are within the scope of accomplishing this mission, as is
the interpretation of religious doctrine and counsel of faith, ethics and
morality.
This position reports to and works in conjunction with the campus chaplain.
The successful candidate must be an ordained Covenant pastor with three to
five years of significant experience in church or chaplain ministry.
