Vikings Basketball Team Moves to 9-1 Standing

ELGIN, IL (December 20, 2002) - The men's basketball team at North Park University (NPU) entered Christmas break on a high note by beating host Judson College 73-59 on Thursday evening to move to 9-1 overall.

The Vikings received 16 points apiece from Larry Moore and Sneed Deaderick and forced 27 turnovers to break a 34-all halftime deadlock. Aaron Coleman added 12 points, Jimmy Mack had 11 points and Irving Richardson put together his best all-around statistical game of the season with 10 points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Morgan Thompson led Judson College with 20 points.

On Tuesday, NPU upended Robert Morris College-Springfield by 17 points, 77-60, as Richardson scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Lamar Townsend added 13 points and three others scored 10 points or more
