Service Wednesday for Accidental Shooting Victim
KALSKAG, AK (January 6, 2003) - A funeral service will be held Wednesday at
Kalskag Bible Chapel for 13-year-old Jason Timothy Evan, who was the victim
of an accidental shooting New Year's Eve, Covenant News Service has
learned.
According to representatives of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Alaska,
Evan had been part of the Kids Club program at Kalskag Bible Chapel, which
was accepted as a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church during the 2002
Annual Meeting. He reportedly was playing Tuesday with his 7-year-old
brother when the accident occurred. He died from a single gunshot wound to
the chest.
