Holmstad Seeking Health Care Administrator
BATAVIA, IL (February 21, 2003) - The Holmstad is seeking a health care
administrator to administer skilled nursing and assisted living facilities,
implement policies and procedures of The Holmstad and Covenant Retirement
Communities of the Evangelical Covenant Church and assure compliance and
adherence to all federal, state and local governing regulations to assure a
safe, secure retirement community.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor of arts or science degree - a
master's degree in a related field is desirable - as well as a minimum of
three years of experience as an assistant administrator, a management
leadership trainee, an administrative assistant or other management
position with broad leadership responsibilities. Education and experience
requirements for a state nursing home administrator license must be met.
Responsibilities include a basic understanding and working knowledge of all
reporting departments to coordinate all functions to provide quality
medical/nursing care and marketing and public relations for The Holmstad as
they apply to the "Harry Ekstam Assisted Living Residence," including
relationships with physicians, hospitals and other organizations and
individuals. The individual must have excellent management skills and the
ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent English verbal and written
communication skills are essential, as is an understanding of customer
service and team building concepts and the ability to handle a variety of
tasks and responsibilities in a professional, prompt manner.
