T.W. Anderson Award Nominations Requested
CHICAGO, IL (March 19, 2003) - Would you like to honor someone you know who has
provided outstanding Christian service to his/her local church? If so,
consider nominating that individual to receive this year's T.W. Anderson
Award, which will be presented during the 118th Annual Meeting of the
Evangelical Covenant Church in June.
The award recognizes Christian lay leadership and service at the local
church level and is based on four criteria:
- A life of commitment and dedication to Christ and His Church
- Membership in a local Covenant congregation(s) for at least 25 years
- No previous participation in formal conference or denominational
leadership
- Evidence of a life that has blessed the neighborhood, community or
profession with service
Anyone can nominate a layperson for this award. To request a nomination
form by mail or fax, call Tricia DeKok at 773-907-3368. Covenant pastors
received a form during the 2003 Midwinter Conference. Completed forms
should be sent as quickly as possible to Mary Miller, Evangelical Covenant
Church, 5101 N. Francisco Ave., Chicago, IL, 60625.
A committee from the North Pacific Conference will convene April 7 to
review
the nominations.
