Christian Fellowship Concert Band to Perform in Rockford
ROCKFORD, IL (March 25, 2003) - The Rockford Christian Fellowship Concert Band
will present a free spring concert at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at
Bethesda Covenant Church in Rockford. The band also will present a free
memorial concert at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, at First Covenant Church
in Rockford.
The 35-piece concert band, organized in 1985 by Fred M. Hubbell, is now
conducted by George Strombeck noted composer, arranger and instrumentalist.
The band includes dedicated Christian musicians of all ages (high school
through retired) and performs at community events, churches and retirement
centers and is noted for its rousing marches, inspirational instrumental
hymns, classic concert overtures and music appropriate for the occasion and
season.
