World Relief Head to Address Missions Conference
WHEATON, IL (March 25, 2003) - World Relief International President Clive Calver
will
speak at the Missions on Your Doorstep conference on Friday, April 4,
beginning at 7 p.m. at Blanchard Road Alliance Church in Wheaton.
World Relief, of which the Evangelical Covenant Church is a member, serves
as the humanitarian arm of the National Association of Evangelicals and is
considered a leading relief and development organization.
The purpose of Missions on Your Doorstep is to challenge and equip local
churches to reach out to the mission field here at home. The theme for this
first-ever event is "Crossing Cultures, Transforming Lives, Here at Home."
The conference is open to anyone interested in learning more about ways to
develop intentional, cross-cultural relationships in local communities and
share the gospel through these relationships.
