Celebration of Covenant Hispanic Ministries Set June 8
CHICAGO, IL (May 6, 2003) - Hispanic ministries throughout the Evangelical
Covenant Church will be celebrated June 8 during Hispanic Ministries
Sunday. The second Sunday of June each year has been declared as a time to
celebrate what God is doing among Hispanic ministries throughout North
America.
"The goal is that each Covenant church . . . can take a few minutes of
their worship service time that Sunday of June to pray for Covenant
Hispanic ministries," said Hugo Otaola, president of Ministerio Hispano de
las Iglesias del Pacto Evangelico - MHIPE (Hispanic Covenant Ministry
Association). "As we move all together in ONE Spirit and mind, we want to
celebrate our diversity in serving together in this beautiful tapestry that
God made for us in America," Otaola added.
