Ohio Church Plans 50 Year Celebration
CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (July 22, 2003) - North Haven Evangelical Covenant Church
will culminate its 50th anniversary celebration with a weekend event
November 21-23, said Pastor Corey Johnsrud.
The church will have a family reunion celebration dessert on November
21. A day later, the church will have a dinner and concert. Todd Warren,
one of the performers at The Feast 2002, will be the special musician.
Johnsrud will speak at the morning worship on November 23.
On November 16, Richard Lucco, superintendent of the Great Lakes
Conference, is scheduled to preach the morning sermon. The church has
been doing a sanctuary renovation that is to be completed by Easter. The
church is converting to a multipurpose facility that will seat around
175 and be used for youth and community events. The theme is "Open
Wide," from Isaiah 54:2.
The church is located in a suburb of Akron and has a membership of about
60. Johnsrud has been pastor of the church for more than two years.
