Candidates Sought for Pension-Insurance Position
CHICAGO, IL (August 4, 2003) - The Evangelical Covenant Church is seeking a
pension and insurance manager to work in the finance department. This
position manages pension, health, long-term disability and life insurance
benefit plans.
The successful candidate for this full-time, exempt position will have a
Bachelor of Arts degree, at least four years of experience and/or training
and an understanding of the Health Information Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other governmental laws and regulations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and other proprietary database
software, email and Internet systems is required.
Responsibilities include fielding questions regarding coverage, collecting
and maintaining salary and billing records, analyzing employee utilization
of current benefits to assist management reviews, disbursing monthly
benefit payments, processing open enrol
lment and status changes, handling billing and collection procedures and
reviewing claims.
This individual must possess excellent customer service, interpersonal and
oral and written communication skills and must demonstrate a high level of
professionalism, problem-solving and project management abilities. The
ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and
work within a team environment is essential.
