North Park University Celebrates Commencement

CHICAGO, IL (December 23, 2003) - CHICAGO, IL (December 23) North Park University (NPU) awarded 58 graduate degrees, 53 bachelor of arts, 21 bachelor of science, two bachelor of music and 37 bachelor of general science degrees during its Winter Commencement on December 12.

Graduates represented a total of 17 countries. President David G. Horner presided over the commencement convocation and assisted Provost Margaret J. Haefner in the conferring of degrees. Lindsay Strobridge, an employee at National Covenant Properties, gave the commencement student address. A 4.0 student (on a 4.0 scale), she is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended First Covenant Church during her childhood.

Founded in 1891 by The Evangelical Covenant Church, North Park University is located on Chicago's north side and enrolls more than 2,800 students from around the world. For more information on the December commencement, call Marina Woods, assistant director of communications, at 773-244-5750.
