Manager Sought for Abuse Prevention and Advocacy Project
CHICAGO, IL (February 20, 2004) - Covenant Women Ministries (CWM) is seeking a
Project Manager to lead its new Advocacy for Victims of Abuse Project.
This contract position (20-30 hours a week) is responsible for:
- planning, directing, and coordinating activities of the project;
- heightening awareness and providing resources for Covenant pastors
and lay leaders regarding abuse of women;
- providing resources for ministering to victims of abuse and
promoting preventive measures.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a four-year
college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. They
will also have certification from a 40-hour domestic violence program,
experience in fundraising through grant solicitation, experience in
managing a budget and finances, and the ability to successfully network.
The candidate must be a genuine disciple of Jesus Christ, in agreement
with the Covenant Affirmations; be able to travel as needed, on short
notice and for a week at a time, for speaking engagements and other
projects; and be an experienced communicator.
