Author Ted Dekker to Visit Covenant Bookstore for Book Signing
CHICAGO, IL (February 24, 2004) - Noted Christian author Ted Dekker will be
making a personal appearance at Covenant Bookstore March 17 as he
continues a book tour for his newest novel, "Black."
The 400-page suspense thriller is the first in a series of three.
Released in February by West Bow Press (a division of Thomas Nelson
Publishers), it revolves around a spreading virus and a character named
Thomas Hunter who tries to thwart the terrorist plot in his own world
while discovering another world he could have never imagined. The other
books in the series, "Red" and "White," are to be released in May and
September respectively. They will also be available in CD and cassette.
Dekker is known for novels that combine adrenaline laced stories packed
with unexpected plot twists, unforgettable characters, and
confrontations between good and evil. He has also authored "Thr3e,"
"Blink," "Heaven's Wager," "When Heaven Weeps" and "Thunder of Heaven."
He and Bill Bright co-authored two other novels, "Blessed Child" and "A
Man Called Blessed."
Raised in Indonesia, Dekker now lives in Colorado with his family. In
January, Dekker's publicist contacted Covenant Bookstore manager Jeff
Lennard to set up an author's appearance and book signing.
"He's the leading Christian suspense writer--not since Frank Peretti
have people been this excited," said Lennard of the upcoming appearance.
"It'll bring an audience from around the Chicago area because he has
quite a fan base. And it has the potential for boosting an already
strong market."
