Applications Sought for Marketing Representative
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (April 6, 2004) - Applications for a position as marketing
representative are being accepted by Covenant Village of the Great
Lakes, a continuing care retirement community in Grand Rapids.
The position, which reports to the marketing director, supports the
overall marketing program with a primary responsibility for coordinating
residential living marketing. This position is sales oriented and is
involved with promotional activities such as marketing events and
seminars, which may require some over-night travel.
Responsibilities include extensive telephone prospecting, meeting
established activity goals, assisting prospective residents in the
application and reservation process, helping implement the annual
marketing plan (including advertising, promotion and public relations),
conducting tours for prospective residents and other duties as assigned
by the marketing director.
The successful candidate will have a four-year college degree or
commensurate experience - at least three years in an office setting with
experience in marketing and public relations preferred. Demonstrable
sales experience is a plus - marketing and sales abilities are required.
This individual must be able to adequately represent the mission
statement of Covenant Village and must demonstrate the ability to work
independently and set priorities, while accepting supervision. Support
of the Evangelical Covenant Church and its statement of affirmations is
required. A history of involvement in the Covenant Church is preferred.
