Three Positions Available at Covenant Offices
CHICAGO, IL (June 24, 2004) - CHICAGO, IL (June 24) Applications are being sought for three
positions in offices of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
World Mission Financial Manager
This position coordinates the financial responsibilities for the
Department of World Mission, including processing financial information
for missionaries and various mission operations, World Mission partners
and the World Mission department. The position also maintains missionary
support information and connects individuals and churches with Covenant
missionaries.
In particular, the position is responsible for overseeing missionary
payroll, payables, fund transfers and insurance; providing support to
135 missionary employees; coordinating the integration of the World
Mission budget for submission to the business office; coordinating
efforts with supporters, supporting churches and missionaries; managing
and distributing extra-budgetary project funds; coordinating the Friends
of World Mission fund and providing accounting and financial management
for CMC-Merge Ministries project funds; and monitoring, maintaining
records, disbursing funds and promoting a combined budget/fund of $7.2

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a four-year
college or university. One to two years of related experience and/or
training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is
preferred. The position reports to the director of missionary services.
The individual must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and
communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of tasks and
responsibilities in a professional and prompt manner. The individual
must have the ability to work with limited direction and complete the

Administrative Assistant Covenant Women Ministries
This position provides administrative support to the executive minister
of Covenant Women Ministries (CWM) as well as the board and constituents
of Covenant Women Ministries.
Responsibilities include managing yearly operational budget and project
funds of approximately $602,000; managing the production and
distribution of InSpirit Magazine including the soliciting,
selection and editing of manuscripts and researching graphics for
articles and the cover; managing and maintaining the magazine
subscription process; managing CWM online content; providing
administrative support for the Board of Covenant Women Ministries;
managing databases; coordinating and arranging meetings, preparing
agendas, reserving and preparing facilities and recording and
transcribing minutes of meetings; arranging and coordinating travel
schedules and reservations; and handling general office duties. A more

The successful candidate will have at minimum an associate's degree or
equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. Six months to
one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education
and experience is preferred.

Resource Associate
This position Provides the primary point of contact for those contacting
the Covenant Resource Center to determine how best to assist them.
Responsibilities include bookkeeping, developing marketing material and
coordinating changes to online content on behalf of the Resource Center.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a four-year
college or university. One to two years of related experience and/or
training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is
preferred. The position reports to the director of the Covenant Resource
Center.
