Kisangani – 'Still Holy Ground'

KISANGANI, CONGO (November 29, 2004) - Last Thursday, several of the 11-member delegation, including family members of martyred Covenant medical missionary Dr. Paul Carlson, visited Kisangani where Carlson was imprisoned and eventually killed. The brief visit came just prior to their scheduled return to the United States on Saturday.

With grandson Paul in the copilot seat, Lois and Wayne travel in the Mission Aviation Fellowship airplane from Karawa to Kisangani. The delegation logged many hours in this aircraft as it is a primary means of travel in the dense jungles of Congo. Inside the Cockpit
