Memorial Service Saturday for L. Jackson Derby
TURLOCK, CA (January 19, 2005) - A memorial service for Rev. L. Jackson Derby,
85, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Berg Fellowship Hall at
Covenant Village of Turlock. Pastor Bob Atkins will officiate. Derby
died Saturday at Covenant Village Care Center.
Derby served Evangelical Covenant Churches in Kingsburg, Antioch and San
Andreas, California; Dearborn, Michigan; and Phoenix, Arizona. He is
survived by his wife, Doris Derby of Turlock; daughter, Diane Krause of
Fairfield; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his daughter Jeanne Johnson, and one sister.
