No Service Planned for Viola Larson
NORTHBROOK, IL (January 24, 2005) - No funeral service is planned for
94-year-old Viola Larson who died Friday. She was one of the last
Evangelical Covenant Church missionaries to serve in China.
A graduate of North Park College in 1935, Larson served in China from
1935 to 1940 and again from 1946 to 1951, when she also served in Hong
Kong. During World War II, she served in the mountains of Virginia as
part of the Home Missions project. Later, from 1953 to 1960, she served
in Taiwan.
