celebrate 75 years of ministry with a weekend event September 3-4,
according to pastor James
Minturn.
On September 4, the congregation will host a Sunday morning worship
service at the Capitol Theatre in Nelson, a noted playhouse. Jeff
Anderson, superintendent of the Canada Conference of the Evangelical
Covenant Church and a previous senior
pastor in Nelson, will give the morning sermon. Following Sunday morning
worship, the church will hold a picnic at nearby Lakeside Park.
Another of the church's previous pastors, Dan Johnson, will be the guest
speaker for a Saturday banquet September 3.
