Southeast Conference Having a Construction Boom
OVIEDO, FL (April 22, 2005) - A construction boom is underway among churches
in the Southeast Conference. One third of the churches are involved in
some form of construction or remodeling project, says Kurt Miericke,
superintendent.
The 14 churches are spread throughout the six states in the conference,
which is home to 43 congregations.
In most cases, the construction is due to growth, Miericke says. Several
of the churches are undergoing reconstruction following the hurricanes
that struck Florida last year. Others have needed to upgrade their
facilities.
Miericke expressed gratitude to National Covenant Properties, which
provides loans to congregations: "They've been really supportive of us."
