North Park Professor to Appear on PBS

CHICAGO, IL (July 8, 2005) - North Park University professor Scot McKnight is expected to appear in a series of features on the emerging church that will be broadcast by the PBS program Religion & Ethics Newsweekly over the next two weeks.

McKnight is Karl A. Olsson Professor in Religious Studies at North Park, and the author of The Jesus Creed, recently named "Book of the Year for Christian living" by Christianity Today magazine. He is an increasingly important voice in discussions on the emergent movement and postmodernism.

Check local listings for program times, or by logging onto the Religion and Ethics Newsweekly site at www.pbs.org/wnet/religionandethics. Earlier this year, Religion and Ethic Newsweekly produced a feature on "The House" Covenant Church in Chicago. That story is available at www.pbs.org/wnet/religionandethics/week825/cover.html.
