Salina (KS) to Celebrate 125 Years of Music Ministry
SALINA, KS (July 19, 2005) - The search is on to identify as many former
members of the church choir at First Covenant Church of Salina as
possible as the congregation prepares to celebrate 125 years of musical
ministry this year.
The first-ever Choir Alumni Reunion will be held October 8-9 to honor
the choir, which was the first organization formed in the church in
1877. The First Covenant Church Choir Alumni Reunion Committee is
interested in locating and inviting all former choir members, directors
and accompanists.
"If you haven't yet received information on the reunion, please contact
the church at 785-823-3792, or email them at office@fccsalina.com," say
Kerry and Juanita Miles on behalf of the committee. "They will be glad
to mail information to you as soon as they receive your name and address."
Interested individuals also may address questions or suggestions
concerning the reunion to current choir director Greta Lagerberg at
gretal@fccsalina.com. "We look forward to a great time of fun, food,
fellowship and praising God together!" the committee invitation states.
